Opening Lines…

“Once upon a time in a land far, far away...”

Hold it… hold it. That is no way to start a story. It’s to trite. To overdone. Start over…

“This, it was given to me to know…”

Um… let’s go with… no.

“A long time ago, In a galaxy far, far away…”

“In between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis…”

Stop right there.

“These are the voyages of the…”

I am going to come over there and smack you.

“The year is 1987 and NASA launches the last…”

Would you stop it. It can’t be this hard.

“You take the good, you take the bad…”

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of…”

It’s going to be the worst of times if you don’t come up with something for that photo up there.

“In 2347, life on Titan wasn’t easy…”

That… that actually might work.

Can you figure out where all of these opening lines came from without looking them up? (except the last one, that’s actually original.)

  1. Excellent and very well done! At least you did not use: “It was a dark and stormy night…” Thank you again Todd for joining in on the MFtS challenge, and I hope that you return next week! Be well… ^..^

    1. Yes you did. šŸ˜€ However, I know that the second opening line will give many people problems… but it is from such a great movie (imo) that was at the beginning a very famous actors career. Granted, the ending was cheesy.. like.. horribly so.
